Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Beat together butter and shortening.
  2. Gradually add sugars, creaming until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternatley with the milk and vanilla.
  5. Stir in nuts.
  6. Pour batter inot greased and floured 10 bundt cake pan.
  7. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until cake test done.
  8. You may use a glaze on top if you prefer or a dusting of powdered sugar.
