Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or 1 tbsp oil
  • 3/4 cup flat beer
  • 2 egg whites , stiffly beaten

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, salt, pepper, butter or oil, and egg yolks.
  2. Add beer gradually, stirring constantly.
  3. Cover and let sit for 3 to 12 hours, then add egg whites.
  4. Coat chicken in mixture and fry.
