Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup. cooking oil ( wesson)
  • 2 cup. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cup. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tsp. milk

Directions:

  1. Combine the oil, sugar and eggs and beat for three minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla.
  3. Fold in apples.
  4. Bake in greased tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20-30 minutes.
  5. Cool and pour on sauce.
  6. SAUCE FOR APPLE POUND CAKE:
  7. Cook all ingredients about 15 minutes. Pour on cake.
