  2. Blend butter, sugars, and splenda.
  3. Beat in eggs, on at a time. Stir in vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in water, then add to batter. Add salt, flour, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  4. Drop batter by large spoonfuls onto pans. Bake 10 minutes.
