Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. For Simple Syrup Lemonade
  2. Combine 2 cups water and sugar in medium sauce pan heat over low heat. Stir once in a while, while juicing all those lemons, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In large pitcher, combine cold water, lemon juice and simple syrup and stir well.
  4. Fill each serving glass about 2/3 full of ice and drop a cherry or two in the bottom, if using.
  5. Pour in lemonade to just under half
  6. Squeeze juice from 1 lime wedge over lemonade
  7. Add ginger ale to fill glass
  8. Garnish with lime and mint, if desired
  9. **Please note, when I serve lemonade, I serve it with lemon or lime wedges in each glass... we like the extra tartness, but not everyone does, so making it sweeter to begin with, then adding the boost of fresh juice of lemon or lime solves a taste compatibility problem! :)
