Stumps Ring Around The Cookie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup butter
  • 2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 4 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Beat butterand sugar together.
  2. Add vanilla.
  3. Sift then stir into mixture: flour, salt, and rolled oats.
  4. Refridgerate for one hour then turn out dough in the shape of a column onto a large piece of waxed paper.
  5. Sprinkle with sprinkles on all sides.
  6. Shape into a roll 2 in diameter and twist the ends of the waxed paper.
  7. Chill several hours or overnight.
  8. Slice roll into 1/4 disks.
  9. Cook on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 mins.
  10. Try substituting the sprinkles with: grated semi sweet chocolate, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or chopped candied fruit.
