Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar , firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Place chocolate chips into a freezer until very firm.
  2. Place frozen chocolate chips and chopped walnuts into an electric blender or food processor and chop very briefly.
  3. Cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl with and electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chips and nuts.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
