Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) package. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • dash of salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese and butter. Stir in flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape into 2 dozen, 1 balls. Using a 1 3/4 muffin tin Is the easiest way to keep the cookies uniform in size and shape, but they can be made on a regular cookie sheet. Place each ball in an ungreased muffin tin and thumbprint the dough to create an indentation for filling.
  2. For Filling:
  3. Beat all ingredients (except pecans) until smooth. Place a tiny amount of pecans in the indentation of the cookie and finish filling with mixture. Top with remaining pecans. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes
