Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar , sifted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg, beating well.
  2. Sift together flour and cinnamon in a small mixing bowl; add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Gradually stir in milk.
  3. For each wafer, pour 1 tablespoon batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle, spreading thin with the back of a spoon. Cook until tops appear dry and edges begin to brown slightly. Turn and cook until bottom sides are browned. Remove from griddle, and wrap each wafer around the handle of a wooden spoon. Slide wafers off spoon handle, and cool seam side down on wire racks.
