Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine dates, sugar, honey, and butter; add hot water, stir and let stand for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Stir egg and vanilla into date mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir the flour mixture into the date mixture.
  6. Pour batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.
