Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and water and boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Add lemon juice and lemon rind.
  3. Let cool and place in an airtight container in refrigerator.
  4. To serve, fill glass about 1/4 full with syrup; add ice and cold water.
  5. Stir and garnish with lemon wedge and maraschino cherry.
