Grandma's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup cocoa

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Grease and flour two 9 cake pans.
  3. Mix together sugar and egg yolks.
  4. Add oil and water.
  5. Sift together flour, cocoa, and salt.
  6. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to sugar mixture.
  7. When milk is almost gone, add soda and almond.
  8. Pour into pans and bake 30-35 minutes.
