Ingredients:

  • 2 package. (8 squares each) baker's semi-sweet chocolate, divided
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Chop 1 pkg. (8 squares) of the chocolate.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Chop remaining pkg. of chocolate; place in large microwaveable bowl.
  5. Microwave on MEDIUM 3 to 4 min. or until chocolate is almost melted.
  6. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  7. Add sugar, butter, eggs, flour and baking powder.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Stir in chopped chocolate and walnuts.
  10. Spoon teaspoonfuls of dough, 1 inch apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  11. Bake 6 to 7 min. or until cookies spring back slightly when touched with finger.
  12. Remove from baking sheets to wire racks.
  13. Cool completely.
  14. Makes about 3 dozen cookies or 18 servings, 2 cookies each.
