Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup. water
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup. sugar
  • 2/3 cup. flour
  • 1/3 cup. butter

Directions:

  1. 1 cup grated cheese or 1 package grated cheese (cheddar).
  2. Place apples in buttered baking dish.
  3. Put water, lemon juice, nutmeg and cinnamon over apples.
  4. Mix together sugar, flour and cheese and spread over apples.
  5. Dot with 1/3 cup butter.
  6. Bake at 350 for one hour.
