Cheddar Apple Bacon Strata

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Grease a casserole dish then melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook apples in butter 3 minutes stirring occasionally until crisp tender.
  3. Stir in brown sugar then reduce heat to low and cook 6 minutes stirring occasionally.
  4. Layer half each of the bread, bacon, apples and cheese in casserole.
  5. Repeat with remaining bread, bacon, apples and cheese.
  6. Mix remaining ingredients then pour over cheese.
  7. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
  8. Heat oven to 350 then bake uncovered 45 minutes and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
