Ingredients:

  • 1/2 to 1 cup. wheat germ
  • 2 tbsps. sesame seed (statement from the writer of this recipe, the coconut
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup. brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup. honey
  • 1 cup. coconut
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. lecithin (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix first 7 ingredients.
  2. Mix brown sugar and honey with lecithin (if used) and melted margarine.
  3. Add to the first mixture and mix until crumbly.
  4. Place in shallow ungreased jelly-roll pan.
  5. Do not pack down.
  6. Toast in moderate oven (350) 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Cool 15 minutes, then toss with fork to form crumbs.
  8. Store in covered jar in refrigerator; use as needed, as cereal or topping for ice cream, pudding, baked desserts.
