Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups butter (4 sticks)
  • 24 oz ghiardelli 60% cacao baking chocolate chips
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 cups oatmeal , finely ground in blender
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
  2. Cream the butter and both sugars.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda.
  5. Add chocolate chips and Hershey Bar.
  6. CHILL DOUGH OVERNIGHT. (This makes a BIG difference!).
  7. Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
