Two Whiskey Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 teasp. salt
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 8 - 10 tbsp. sugar.( depends on how sweet you want it)
  • 1 teasp. vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. bourbon
  • 1 tbsp. dark rum

Directions:

  1. Pour the boiling water over the ground coffee.
  2. Let steep for a minute or two....strain
  3. In a double boiler put the chocolate, salt, 1/3 cup of cream and the butter and the coffee flavored water
  4. Melt the chocolate and stir until smooth... let cool to lukewarm
  5. Whip the 1 cup of cream, adding the sugar slowly , until stiff peaks form
  6. Fold the flavorings into the whipped cream
  7. Fold the whipped cream into the melted chocolate
  8. Makes about 5 cups
