Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 -2 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees.
  2. Mix the first four ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the Dry to the wet.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by teaspoonful, or I prefer to roll into balls and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  7. I find that baking them for 8 minutes then refrigerating them turns out the best. They will hardly look done, but they will be very chewy.
