Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Crean shortening and sugar
  2. Add eggs and blend
  3. Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt
  4. Gradually add flour into shortening mixture
  5. Chill dough
  6. Roll balls 1T in sugar and cinnamon mixture
  7. Place about 2 apart on an ungreased cookie sheet
  8. Bake for 8- 10 minutes at 400
  9. Note cookeis will puff up at first then flatten and have a crinkled top
