Rochelle's Chocolate Chip Cookies (Betty Crocker)

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix shortening and butter in medium bowl.
  3. Add sugars; cream together.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. In separate bowl, mix flour, soda, and salt.
  6. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture; stir in chocolate chips when partially mixed.
  7. Drop by rounded spoonfuls 8-10 minutes.
  8. Let cool on cookie sheet about 1 minute, then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
