Puff Pastry Raisin Pecan Pinwheels

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. On a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out pastry an 8 x 12-inch rectangle*****
  2. In a small bowl ... combine sugar and cinnamon and set aside
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter
  4. Add raisins and pecans to butter and stir until well coated
  5. Spread raisin mixture evenly over pastry dough
  6. Sprinkle sugar mixture over raisin mixture
  7. Beginning at the long edge, roll up pastry.
  8. Brush with egg yolk on the long side to seal
  9. Place on a greased baking sheet
  10. Bake in preheated 350' F oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown
  11. Cool completely....cut into 1-inch thick slices
  12. Makes 12 pinwheels
  13. ****** don't let the puff pastry dry out..... i do the cinnamon sugar and the melting of the butter first then the pastry dough
