Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar.
  2. Add egg; beat well.
  3. Combine buttermilk and vanilla; set aside.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk/vanilla to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in rhubarb.
  6. Spread in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.
  7. Combine the remaining sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over batter.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or untlil cake tests done.

  10. FOR TOPPING:
  11. Combine all ingredients; pour over individual squares.
  12. Yield: 12 servings.
