Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In large mixing bowl beat butter on high speed for 30 seconds.
  2. Add sugar and beat until combined.
  3. Beat in lime peel, lime juice and vanilla until combined.
  4. Mix in flour until combined.
  5. Add nuts and stir just until combined.
  6. Divide dough in half.
  7. On lightly floured surface, roll each half of dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
  8. Using 1-2 inch cookie cutters, cut out dough (shape of your choice).
  9. Place cutouts on ungreased cookie sheets.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until light brown around the edges.
  11. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
  12. While cooling, beat all frosting ingredients together with mixer, until smooth. May tint with green food coloring if desired. Adjust consistency with powedered sugar until spreadable.
  13. Frost cooled cookies.
  14. Store frosted cookies in refrigerator.
