Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 12 oz package chocolate chips
  • 15 oz can eagle brand milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift together the flour, soda, and salt.
  4. Stir into oatmeal.
  5. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Set Aside
  6. To make filling:
  7. Mix chocolate pieces, condensed milk, butter, and salt in double boiler and melt.
  8. When smooth add nuts and vanilla.
  9. Spread 2/3 of the oatmeal mixture in the bottom of a 9X13 pan.
  10. Cover with filling, then dot with remaining oatmeal and Bake
