This is oh so good, if your a chocolate person, you will absolutely love this recipe, I make it every year when I bake cookies for the holidays. Very addicting :) Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
2 cups brown sugar |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 1/2 cups sifted flour |
1 teaspoon soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 cups oatmeal |
chocolate filling |
12 ounce package chocolate chips |
15 ounce can eagle brand milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chopped nuts |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. 2. Mix in eggs and vanilla. 3. Sift together the flour, soda, and salt. 4. Stir into oatmeal. 5. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Set Aside 6. To make filling: 7. Mix chocolate pieces, condensed milk, butter, and salt in double boiler and melt. 8. When smooth add nuts and vanilla. 9. Spread 2/3 of the oatmeal mixture in the bottom of a 9X13 pan. 10. Cover with filling, then dot with remaining oatmeal and Bake |
