Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
  2. Combine vanilla, eggs, shortening, sugar, and brown sugar in separate bowl.
  3. Add dry ingredients to mixture.
  4. Add chocolate chips and mix until batter turns slightly brown.
  5. Arrange on cookie sheets in quarter-sized balls and bake at 350 for 10-13 minutes until cookies are brown.
