Asparagus With Cambozola Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In an ovenproof skillet melt butter then add the bread and toss to coat well.
  3. Season with salt and pepper then place in oven and bake 15 minutes.
  4. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.
  5. In large skillet combine olive oil and water then and add salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
  6. Add asparagus then cover and cook 5 minutes.
  7. Remove cover and boil off any remaining water.
  8. Sauté asparagus in remaining olive oil for 5 minutes.
  9. In a saucepan over medium high heat melt cheese in the cream then add thyme and pepper.
  10. Place 1 or more slices of bread on each of 4 plates.
  11. Arrange asparagus on bread and pour sauce over top and sprinkle each serving with pine nuts.
