Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups hot applesauce
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Heat applesauce in a large pan. While apple sauce is hot stir in soda aand shortening. When cool, add other ingredients and mix well.
  2. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
