Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup walnuts

Directions:

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 8-in square baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar; add the egg.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; gradually add to the creamed mixture, beating just until combined.
  5. Stir in the apple and walnuts.
  6. Pour batter into greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 mins, or until cake test done.
