Zaar's Down!! Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar , firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in rolled oats, coconut and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop teaspoons of batter 2 inches apart unto lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. (Cookies have a nicer appearnce when baked on a baking stone such as Pampered Chef) Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
