assorted fruit : sliced apples and starfruit, peeled quartered kiwifruit, cubed fresh pineapple, dried apricots, dried sliced pineapple and apples, and fresh strawberries, grapes and sweet cherries, caramels and tootsie roll midgees, pretzel dipping sticks, milk chocolate chips, shortening, divided, semisweet chocolate chips, white candy coating, chopped, toasted coconut and finely chopped pecans, optional

dark brown sugar, unsalted butter, room temperature, sweetened condensed milk, dark corn syrup, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, robust-flavored (dark ) molasses, salt, granny smith apples, assorted decorations (such as chopped nuts, dried apricots and dried cranberries, toffee bits, mini m&m s and candy sprinkles), melted dark, milk and/or white chocolates, whipping cream (if necessary)
