Peanut Butter Peanut Brittle

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar, water and syrup in a heavy pot.
  2. Bring to a boil and heat to 240°F on a candy thermometer.
  3. Add peanuts.
  4. Heat to 300°F.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  6. Stir in baking soda.
  7. Spread quickly onto a lightly buttered pan.
  8. Cool and break into pieces.
