Grandma Deharts Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Wash and slice green tomatoes into quarter inch slices.
  2. Beat eggs and add enough milk to make one cup.
  3. Mix flour, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and basil.
  4. Place egg wash mix in bowl and breading in a large plate.
  5. Preheat skillet over medium heat.
  6. Completely submerge slices of tomatoes in egg and milk wash, then cover them with breading mix.
  7. Add oil to skillet as needed to fry.
  8. Fry over medium heat until lightly golden brown on each side.
  9. Serve hot!
