butter, onion, chopped, flour, half-and-half (or combination of both, heated in the microwave) or 4 cups skim milk (or combination of both, heated in the microwave), chicken stock, frozen broccoli, heads thawed, carrots, thinly sliced, nutmeg, more if desired, shredded cheddar cheese, black pepper, ground, minced garlic, peeled and diced potatoes , microwave till al dente in a bowl of water, lea & perrins worcestershire sauce, pickapeppa sauce, white pepper, paprika , hot several shakes, old bay seasoning , several shakes, fresh chives (or more ) (optional)
