  4. Ingredients
  5. •1-1/4 cups Imperial Sugar® / Dixie Crystals® Granulated Sugar
  6. •1/3 cup water
  7. •1/3 cup light corn syrup
  8. •1 teaspoon salt
  9. •1/2 cup butter, cubed
  10. •2 cups pistachios, toasted
  11. •1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  12. •1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  13. Directions
  14. •Butter a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. pan, set aside. In a large saucepan,
  15. Combine the sugar, water, corn syrup and salt. Cook over medium heat
  16. Until a candy thermometer reads 240° (soft-ball stage).
  17. Carefully add butter and pistachios; cook and stir until mixture
  18. Reaches 284° (soft-crack stage).
  19. •Remove from the heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla. Immediately
  20. Pour into prepared pan. Spread to 1/4-in. thickness. Cool before
  21. Breaking into pieces. Store in an airtight container. Yield: about
  22. -1/2 pounds.
