Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Stir together, flour, cocoa, baking powder & baking soda in a medium sized bowl - set aside
  3. In bowl of electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar & the 1/2 cup of white sugar on medium speed until light & fluffy
  4. Beat in eggs & vanilla
  5. Gradually add flour mixture & 1/2 cup pecans
  6. Beat on low speed, scraping down the sides of the bowl occasionally
  7. Refrigerate the dough, covered, about 15 mins or until firm enough to roll into balls
  8. Place remaining 1/2 cup pecans & 1 Tblspn sugar in a shallow dish
  9. Flatten balls of dough & wrap each one around a caramel candy, covering completely
  10. Press one side into nut/sugar mixture
  11. Place nut side up on ungreased cookie sheets
  12. Repeat with rest of dough, placing 3 inches apart on cookie sheet
  13. Bake 10 - 12 mins or until set & slightly cracked.
  14. Let stand on cookie sheet 2 mins & then transfer to wire racks to completely cool
  15. Place white chocolate in a small resealable freezer bag & seal bag
  16. Microwave on medium for 2 mins
  17. Turn bag over & microwave on medium for 2 - 3 mins or until chocolate is melted
  18. Knead bag until chocolate is smooth
  19. Cut off tiny corner of bag & drizzle chocolate over cookies
  20. Let stand until chocolate is set - about 30 mins
