tomatoes, lightly seeded and diced (roma tomatoes), english seedless cucumber, peeled and cut in half moons, shallot, thin sliced, plain yogurt (you can use sour cream or even a mix of the two if you want), garlic clove, minced, fresh dill, minced (more or less to taste, start with 1 tsp and you can always add more), sugar, salt, pepper

mayonnaise (no miracle whip for this), maple syrup (pure maple if you have it), grated shallot, apple cider vinegar, brandy (don tsp want to get a whole bottle, just get 1 of those little nips ... i call them airplane or hote), salt, pepper, fresh herb (optional)
