  • 1 Spread 4 slices of bread with peanut butter and the other 4 slices with jelly.
  • 2 Put slices together to make sandwiches.
  • 3 Beat eggs, milk and vanilla together in bowl.
  • 4 Heat a large skillet or griddle with 2 tablespoons margarine.
  • 5 When the butter is melted, dunk two of the sandwiches in egg mixture and let excess drip off.
  • 6 Place in pan, fry sandwiches until golden brown on both sides. about 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • 7 Repeat with last to sandwiches.
  • 8 Cut sandwiches into 4 sticks and serve with warm maple syrup.
