  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 (6 oz) cans clams
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 1 Combine cut vegetables in a large stew pot.
  • 2 Drain juice off canned clams and pour juice over veggies.
  • 3 Add enough water to cover vegetables.
  • 4 Simmer over medium heat until tender.
  • 5 Melt Butter in a sauce pan.
  • 6 Add flour and blend until smooth.
  • 7 When vegetables are tender add the flour mixture and all other ingredients to the vegetables.
  • 8 Make sure flour mixture is mixed in well (it acts as a thickening agent).
  • 9 Simmer all ingredients for 30 minutes.
  • 10 Add salt and white pepper to taste.
