  • 3 Cream butter and sugar until well-blended.
  • 4 Add egg yolk and mix well.
  • 5 Add flour and mix just until dough is formed.
  • 6 Pat dough into a 9x13-inch pan, making a 1-inch border up the sides. Bake 15-18 minutes.
  • 7 TOPPING
  • 8 Whisk together thoroughly sugar and eggs.
  • 9 Whisk in maple syrup.
  • 10 Scatter pecans over crust
  • 11 Pour syrup mixture over crust and scattered pecans
  • 12 Bake 25-30 minutes until set.
