1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Combine sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and well blended.
3. Add coffee alternately with dry ingredients.
4. Stir in apple, raisins and nuts.
5. Spread batter in a well greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
6. Bake until a pick inserted in center comes out clean; about 30-35 minutes.
7. Garnish with additional chopped nuts.
