  • 1 Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • 2 Create a creamed mixture of sugar, peanut butter and butter or margarine.
  • 3 Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • 4 Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  • 5 Beat just till well mixed.
  • 6 Stir in coconut.
  • 7 Spread in greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan.
  • 8 Bake in 350ºF oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 9 Cool.
  • 10 Cut into bars.
  • 11 Drizzle with confectioners' icing.
  • 12 -Confectioners'icing: Mix 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and enough light cream to make spreading consistency.
  • 13 Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and dash salt.
