  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 Melt the sugar slowly over low heat until it turns caramel color.
  • 2 Add the water (it will sputter and some will harden,but will melt again.)
  • 3 Add the milk and heat to slow boil.
  • 4 Add the cornstarch dissolved in a small amount of water,cook mixture until thickened.
  • 5 Serve warm or cold,with,or without,cream.
