  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, soft
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (8 oz) package maria's yogurt-covered raisins (or sun-maid)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F
  • 2 Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  • 3 Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla in large bowl till creamy.
  • 4 Add egg and beat well.
  • 5 Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • 6 Stir in raisins and nuts.
  • 7 Drop by tbsp on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 8 Bake for 9-11 minutes till golden brown.
  • 9 Cool on sheet 2 minutes.
  • 10 Remove to wire rack.
  • 11 Cool completely.
  • 12 To make pan cookies: Spread dough in greased 9 square pan. Bake 350F 25-30 minutes.
