prepared meatballs, recipe (see my kittencal s italian melt-in-your-mouth meatballs), olive oil (to cover bottom of the pot), onion, chopped, garlic cloves, finely chopped (or to taste), bay leaf, dried oregano (rubbed with fingers to release the oils), dried basil (rubbed with fingers to release the oils), salt (or to taste), fresh ground black pepper (or to taste), crushed red pepper flakes (optional or to taste), tomato paste, dry red wine (or to taste), crushed tomatoes (can use 3 cans if you plan of freezing some sauce), diced tomatoes, well drained, sugar (optional and to be added in the last 30 minutes of cooking time)

olive oil, fresh minced garlic, onions, chopped, dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes (optional or adjust to suit heat level), stalk celery, diced, carrots, peeled and sliced, tomato paste, chicken broth (can use beef broth), tomato sauce (for a richer flavor use 2 cups each and crushed tomatoes), kidney beans, drained, green beans, drained, chopped fresh spinach (rinsed over with cold water), zucchini, sliced thick (or coarsely chopped ), cooked small shell pasta (use any amount desired, small shell pasta or macaroni will work fine), grated parmesan cheese (more for sprinkling ), salt & freshly ground black pepper (to taste), extra lean ground beef (or use half beef and pork), garlic cloves, minced, green onion, finely chopped (use white part only ), egg, slightly beaten, dry breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, seasoning salt or 1/2 tsp white salt, fresh ground black pepper
