  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup persimmon pulp
  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1 Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating well.
  • 2 Add eggs and beat well.
  • 3 Combine flour, spices and salt-add to creamed mixture.
  • 4 Mix well.
  • 5 Combine persimmon pulp and baking soda; stir well and add to creamed mixture.
  • 6 Stir in raisins and pecans.
  • 7 Drop dough by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.
  • 8 Bake at 350ºF for 12 to 15 minutes or until done.
  • 9 Usually yields about 3 dozen.
