  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz) can ready to spread caramel pecan frosting
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tbsp margarine
  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 13x9 pan.
  • 2 in large bowl, cream brown sugar and 1/2 cup margarine.
  • 3 Blend in vanilla and eggs mixing well.
  • 4 Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 5 Divide dough into 2 equal parts.
  • 6 Stir melted chocolate into 1 part.
  • 7 Drop each section of dough by large spoonfuls randomly into prepared pan.
  • 8 Spread evenly.
  • 9 Bake 17-22 minutes til golden.
  • 10 Cool.
  • 11 Spread frosting over bars.
  • 12 Freeze for 30 minutes.
  • 13 In small pan combine sugar, 5 TBS margarine and milk.
  • 14 Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • 15 Remove from heat and stir in chips until melted and smooth.
  • 16 Pour over bars.
  • 17 Refrigerate 30 minutes then cut into bars.
  • 18 Small sizes.
  • 19 Store is refrigerator.
