  • 1 In a large sauce pan melt butter.
  • 2 Stir in flour, dry mustard and salt.
  • 3 Blend in milk.
  • 4 Cook and stir constantly until thickened.
  • 5 Add cubed Velveeta and stir until it melts.
  • 6 Cook macaroni and drain.
  • 7 Put macaroni back in pot and add sauce.
  • 8 Add shredded cheddar and stir.
  • 9 Let stand for 20 minutes.
  • 10 Put in a greased dish and top with bread crumbs.
  • 11 Bake at 400°F for about 1 hour.
  • 12 This will freeze well and is great for Lent.
