1. Chill dough; make into balls.
2. Dip each ball into white sugar and place on greased cookie sheet, sugar side up.
3. Optional: place a pecan half on each cookie.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10- 12 minutes.
5. If they are underbaked, they are chewy.
6. If they are baked longer, they are nice and crisp.
